Laboratory Accreditation Bureau was established to provide ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory accreditation services to independent and captive, testing and calibration laboratories.  Laboratory Accreditation Bureau is recognized to ISO/IEC 17011 for assessing laboratories to ISO/IEC 17025.

L-A-B is very proud to announce that on December 5, 2007 the Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) MRA Council has voted to accept Laboratory Accreditation Bureau (L-A-B) into the APLAC MRA for Calibration and Testing.  As a signatory to the APLAC MRA L-A-B automatically advances its associate status in ILAC to full member status and becomes a signatory to the ILAC arrangement.  Thank you to all who directly and indirectly contributed to the evaluation process.  L-A-B would also like to thank APLAC and it's evaluation team for volunteering their time to advance laboratory accreditation worldwide.

ACIL - NACLA

The American Council of Independent Laboratories (ACIL) and the National Cooperation for Laboratory Accreditation (NACLA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to launch the creation of a new strategic partnership that will develop supplemental technical requirements for the accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories.

The National Cooperation for Laboratory Accreditation (NACLA) will hold its annual forum, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 1 and 2, 2008 in Columbia, MD.

L-A-B presented and exhibited at the recent Quality Expo where thousands in attendance made there way to Chicago.  L-A-B appreciates all of the accredited laboratories who exhibited along side us at the show including Faro Technologies, Metris USA Inc., Optodyne Inc., and V-Gage.
