L-A-B Attends 2008 ILAC / IAF Conference

Doug Leonard, L-A-B Managing Director, recently returned from attending the ILAC/IAF conference 2008, Oct 10-22 in Stockholm. The conference was hosted by SWEDAC (The Swedish Board for Accreditation and Conformity Assessment); and included the signatory ceremony for our ILAC signatory status (granted Dec 2007).

The conference hosted the international organizations’ general assembly’s as well as committee meetings covering most aspects of accreditation of laboratories, inspection bodies and certification bodies. A large number of experts, representing accreditation bodies and various stakeholders, met at the conference to exchange ideas, discuss international co-operation, accreditation and different topics concerning conformity assessment.
